Implementation of the ISO quality system into the Huta Bankowa Works has been commenced already by the 1991.

To compare conditions existing at that moment at the Company with the ones required by the ISO standards of the 9000 series, respective teams have been appointed. The result of their studies was selection of the optimal model for the Huta Bankowa conditions of the quality assurance system.

To fulfill the system requirements, the Quality Policy document and other appropriate document, as respective procedures, instructions, quality control plans, etc. were elaborated. The first edition of the Quality Book, the document concerning all problems of the system, was issued on 02/03/1995.

As a result of all endeavours related to implementation the quality assurance system into Huta Bankowa Company was the ISO 9002 Quality System Certificate awarded on 26th July 1996 by the Bureau Veritas Quality International with the German and Dutch authorisation.

More and more strong competition observed at the domestic market of steel products emphasises necessity of constant improvement of product quality, development of marketing technique, optimising of production costs, and active introduction of new products into the market.

Obtainment of ISO 9001 Certificate in 1999, a permanent improvement and development of the Quality System, it's integration with SZS and SZ BHP and Granting the Diploma of Regional Silesian Award of Quality are the next stages of strategic aims beeing realised by the Management Tending to TQM.
